I Love You Mommy

I'm not really sure where I should start when it comes to how much I love my mother. She was the woman who gave birth to me, gave me life. She once told me that when I was born, my heart began to fail. She told me she prayed for days. Cried for days. Sang to me for days. And for the first time since I was born, I reached out my tiny hand, and grabbed hers. I'm still here. And for that, mommy, I'd like to dedicate this to you:

How did you find the energy, Mom To do all the things you did, To be teacher, nurse and counselor To me, when I was a kid. How did you do it all, Mom, Be a chauffeur, cook and friend, Yet find time to be a playmate, I just can’t comprehend. I see now it was love, Mom That made you come whenever I'd call, Your inexhaustible love, Mom And I thank you for it all.
